There’s nothing like a Sunny day at Snow Lake. Gem lake turned out to be a hidden surprise.
Getting to the trail
Shreyas and I were on our way soon after renting the car! A coffee break and a few bumpy roads later, we got to the trail head. We grouped with Willy, Karen, Ellie and their pet, Frank and hit the trail around 12pm.
The hike
Soon after we started the hike, Shreyas told me about Gem lake. I had seen pictures of it on WTA and always wanted to hike to Gem lake. Little did I know that Gem Lake was on the same trail as Snow lake (with a higher elevation gain). In the middle of the hike, Ellie and Frank were tired, so Willy headed back while Shreyas and I moved on.
