I sometimes travel for business. This time, it was Phoenix, AZ. I did not expect Phoenix to be vibrant! I got to spend some time with my former manager, Ramesh K, and recruiter Thao Diep.
Phoenix
Ramesh, Thao and I got to go out for dinner; and a First Friday which was festive with various artists performing live, showcasing their talents. Hiking the pinnacle peak with Ramesh was exciting, with the peak bring adrenaline rush and 360° views.
Walnut Canyon
During the weekend, I rented a car and hit the road towards Grand Canyon. Walnut Canyon was along the way - I stopped to see some caves which was inhabited by people a few thousand years ago.
Grand Canyon
I’ve been to the grand canyon before, but never got to visit South Kaibab trail which was on my wishlist. The trail goes down all the way and time management is necessary as this was a reverse-hike of sorts. I struck a conversation with a stranger who helped capture some of my pics - thank you, Stranger!
Lowell Observatory
Lowell Observatory at Flagstaff has some sick telescopes. I got to see M3 globular cluster. Light emitted thousands of years ago hitting my retina was makes me feel tiny. But, hey, that’s what life is.
Meteor Crater
Meteor crater is one of the largest known crater on earth, which is perfectly preserved. It looks huge compared to surrounding flat lands.
